Phase I: Boundary Survey

Since a Boundary Survey sets the limits of the project, we first need to determine your needs in this Phase. For your protection, I recommend that all surveys be accompanied by a full title search. Copies of the recorded documents, and your attorney's opinion of title should be provided to the surveyor prior to commencement of survey work. This will build a good foundation for the entire project. Generally, it is up to you, the client, to ensure that all documentation from the attorney is provided to your surveyor.

Planning and review now will greatly reduce your chances of being surprised at closing or in the future. Although it may take more initial effort to protect you, the future benefits will most often far outweigh this initial effort.
